What the Program Includes
Timeless Wisdom Training offers a path of spiritual development on individual, collective, and transpersonal levels.
Over the course of eight in-person retreats with Thomas, the program curriculum will include:
- Part 1: Deep individual process and shadow work, examining the nature and effects of trauma in our lives, and learning a method called Transparent Communication – a way to translate deep spiritual and presence practice into daily life.
- Part 2: Exploration of the cultural dynamics in which we are embedded, including an examination of cultural shadow and trauma. Participants experience and cultivate a deeper understanding of we-consciousness and we-dynamics, and how different value systems within the cultural body are created.
- Part 3: Development of transpersonal awareness via meditation and contemplation. This module includes a 9-day silent meditation retreat.
The purpose of this training is to give you the tools and experiences necessary to embody higher consciousness in every moment of your life.
For more details about the program, see the FAQs below.
Thomas will also offer a Timeless Wisdom Training program in Germany starting in November, 2017. Click here for information about the German program.

“Thomas Hubl delves deeply into both timeless wisdom and the specific needs of our time. I have found his work with collective healing to be tremendously innovative and eye-opening. It brought me to my own edges of openness and withdrawal. This type of engagement with what appears to be “other” is what we need, in my opinion, to learn what it truly means to take multiple perspectives and live in an open-hearted way.”
– Tami Simon
Founder and Publisher, Sounds True
“When Thomas Hübl teaches, a clean, fresh, lighted spacious clarity naturally opens up in and among people—shifting the energy of the room. His presence functions as a kind of permission, and the group field opens in a beautiful, unmistakable way. It activates intuition, shines Light into shadow, and reveals the insubstantial transparency of whatever seemed to be in the way. It also frees up a tremendous amount of joyful energy.”
– Terry Patten
Author, Integral Life Practice and founder, Bay Area Integral and Beyond Awakening Series
“Thomas Hübl is a spiritual teacher for our time, illumined and practical, rational and deeply profound. His teaching is clear like a mirror. He is at once sharp and cutting, yet gentle, receptive, and compassionate. You can’t help but expand in his presence.”
– Diane Musho Hamilton
Gifted Facilitator, Mediator, and Spiritual Teacher

He shows us how to link our developing self awareness with our potential to be of service in society. In his online course he will guide people to explore deeply the essence of the great wisdom traditions, together with profound levels of self knowledge and personal responsibility.”

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Timeless Wisdom Training?
Timeless Wisdom Training is a deep, two-year, in-person program that offers a path of spiritual development on individual, collective, and transpersonal levels.
The Timeless Wisdom Training is not psychotherapy, and all students are responsible for themselves. An experienced team of Thomas’s senior students is available throughout the retreats to support the participants in the training. The program is not oriented around any particular spiritual path, religion, or tradition, so people from all backgrounds are welcome.
To hear Thomas more fully describe the program, please watch the video introduction.
What are the retreat dates and locations?
The entire two-year schedule can be viewed here.
Can I miss any retreats?
No. Students must commit to attending all days of every retreat. If there is an emergency or an extremely important personal or professional conflict, students may request permission to miss a maximum of two and a half days per year.
What happens at retreats?
The sangha moves through a journey together in a safe container held by Thomas and his Assistant Team. Thomas provides the students with the theory of mystical principles, teaches them to awaken a deeper connection to the divine and to their inner subtle competencies, and shows how to refine body awareness (the instrument). He does this by guiding different meditation modalities, teaching the principles of creation, and deepening the process while answering students’ questions.
In addition, students work on various topics in triads and other subgroups; sometimes there are written exercises. On most days there is dancing or other forms of movement. Sometimes there are topics for discussion over meals. Each day usually begins at 8am and ends around 9:30pm.
What happens in between retreats?
Students are expected to meditate for one hour daily.
Every student participates in at least one triad that meets weekly to develop skills in transparent communication and processing their experience. In addition, everyone participates approximately once a month in a group of 20-25 students in an online meeting led by one of the mentors.
Thomas occasionally offers a live online Q&A in between retreats. Where available, some students also participate in local in-person practice groups. Many TWT students also enroll in Thomas’s online classes to deepen their learning and their connection to the wider global sangha.
What is the process to apply, and how are students chosen?
Everyone who would like to be a participant in the TWT must attend one of the two Introductory Weekends Click here for dates, locations, and more information. The purpose of the Intro Weekends is to allow students to clarify their decision to commit to the training, and also to allow Thomas and his Assistant Team to get to know the applicants.
Applicants must also complete a questionnaire in advance of the Intro they are attending. There are no right or wrong answers on the questionnaire; the purpose is for Thomas to find out more about who you are and where you are in your life and your spiritual journey. Every applicant is considered equally, and there is great diversity among the participants in the training.
During the Intro Weekend, applicants must also complete a second questionnaire (on paper) about their physical and psychological health and history.
How much does the TWT USA program cost?
Tuition information and payment options can be found above. In addition, students must pay for their own food and lodging at the retreat center as well as any travel expenses.
All students are required to stay at the retreat center, even if they happen to live nearby. This is a very important aspect of building the energetic field throughout the retreat.
Price ranges for food/lodging are given above. When calculating your cost, it is important to also consider the time commitment needed to attend retreats, and how it affects your income.
What is a project, and why would I want to do one? Is it required?
A TWT project is an undertaking of any size that students choose from their own inspiration and personal spiritual path. The primary benefit of identifying, planning, and completing a project is to work with your soul’s purpose. A guided process facilitates downloading the vision for a project, followed by time to make the concept concrete and plan the manifestation, alone or together with other students.
The entire process, including cooperation with others and the practical work, supports the integration and application of TWT learnings into your daily life — your workplace, social activities, family, and friends (which Thomas calls the second test of learning and integration). It provides an opportunity to work and engage with one’s limiting patterns to deepen insight and capacity and create more sustainability.
Projects are initiated during the second year of the training and are optional. They are fully driven by each individual’s joy, inner drive, and motivation. Facilitation and methodological support from an experienced team member is available if needed. Projects in former TWTs have been widely varied, from writing an article, creating one’s own workshop, visiting people in hospices, and organizing a spiritual festival.
Is there any financial aid or work-trade available? How do I qualify and apply?
Inner Science has a financial assistance for a very limited amount of students, and offers a small number of work-trade positions to reduce the tuition only. More information and an application process will be available and posted on the website by June, 2017.
What if I’m unable to complete the full two years?
Once the TWT begins, no new students are allowed to join. This is one important component for the sangha to build the field and develop a deep trust and confidentiality in the work of the group. As a result, there is a significant financial penalty for those who decide to withdraw before the end of the program, which is defined in the student contract.
It is important for students to be fully committed to the entire program at the best of their ability, and plan ahead during this period of their lives. That said, Thomas recognizes that abrupt, significant life situations can occur, and the team works with any student in such a situation to make the best decision under the new circumstances.
